Jennifer Ewald, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Ewald grew up along the Delaware River in Milford, Pennsylvania. She attended Manhattan College in New York City and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She went on to intern at the Bronx Zoo and a therapeutic riding center where she first observed the work of veterinarians. She realized her passion for the profession and split her time working as a technician for a small animal vet and an equine vet to gain experience.
Dr. Ewald earned her DVM from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She also worked at the school’s Equine Park caring for the horses and as a student large animal surgery technician. Living in Ithaca was not complete without regular visits to waterfalls and the occasional winery.
Following vet school, Dr. Ewald worked with both large and small animals at practices in Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Her interests include dermatology, surgery, and client education.
She enjoys hiking and geocaching with her rescue coonhounds (Rowdy and Denny), vacationing at the beach, game nights, and tending to her indoor and outdoor gardens. Dr. Ewald is excited to live in beautiful rural mountains again. She hopes to get back into skis and saddles - and to convince her partner, Nick, to try both!
